Terms of Services and Conditions for Compassionate Keepsakes.
Shipping Your Inclusion.
After your order is placed, you will receive an email from me confirming your order request and instructions for shipping your breastmilk or coordinating local pick up. Local pick up may be a predetermined time and location such our office building, if your house is within 5 miles of Pittstown, NJ, or if we are in your home for a postpartum appointment. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Receiving Your Completed Package.
Current turn around time is 6-8 weeks from the time I receive your breastmilk. Please keep in mind, I am a one woman operation, mom, and birth doula. I do my best to stay within this time frame, but must allow for unexpected things (or spontaneous births) to potentially pop up! I personally keep you posted on the status of your order and will coordinate shipping or local drop off. Shipping costs the responsibility of the customer.
Refund Policy.
Once I receive your breastmilk, or have ordered your setting (if there is no breastmilk to preserve) there are no refunds. However, if you are unhappy with your completed piece, please always reach out to me.
Order Changes.
I am only able to accommodate changes to order for 24 hours after the order is placed. If you are wanting to add to your order, that can be done at anytime! This action will result in a new 6-8 week turn around time frame for add-ons.
Lost stones or damage.
There are two types of jewelry settings. One is a prong setting and the other that is called a “direct pour.” For every piece that is made with a prong setting, you will receive an additional stone to be set aside in the event that to stone becomes loose and falls out. In the event of this happening, please reach out to me directly so we may coordinate rectifying the situation by placing the additional setting. For a setting that has a direct pour, the stone will be cured directly in the setting, and there should be no concern of it becoming loose or falling out.
If you package is received damaged, please reach out to me to discuss the issue and how we will move forward with a replacement.
Caring for jewelry.
All gold plated metals will fade over time. Included in your completed package will be a instructions on how to care for your jewelry to avoid this from happening. As an alternative, sterling silver and solid gold settings are available for most pieces.
For the breastmilk stone, I apply a process that helps to keep the stone sealed and protected from UV rays. It is suggested to keep jewelry in a closed box when it is not being worn to reduce sun exposure.
